New Ratatat: LP4

New Ratatat: LP4

Following up the fantastic LP3, Ratatat will be releasing the aptly named LP4 on June 8. If track record is any indication (and it is), this will be a great album.
According to Prefix, the songs for the album were recorded at the same time as LP3. The band, however, "insists that the two records are to be taken as distinct entities. The most obvious demarcation between the two is the prevalence of strings on LP4." 


I love strings.

The pokemon name invoking, New York duo Ratatat will be stopping by Seattle in March 29th as part of a small Spring tour.  So if you were planning on being mesmerized and dancing a lot that day, but didn't know how you were going to get that done, now you know. I'm here for you.

In other news, Ratatat also just released a 12" which includes an Animal Collective remix of 'Mirando' from last years fantastic LP3. You can purchase it and listen to the remix here.
