Strangely enough, the first time I meant to write about Teen Daze was without even hearing his music when he guest curated a post on Schmooze Blog. His selections included Baths, Toro y Moi and beautiful song by a band I had never heard of from Iceland, Parachutes. From these alone I knew it had to be good. And...it is. Straight up professional electronic, nostalgia drenched song craft. Pushed to the point of exhaustion, Teen Daze encourages you to keep going. Songs like "Hard Times Good Times" express this sentiment perfectly. Mid-track, chanting "you're the only one that sees me," the remaining instrumental minutes leave with that thought. To be seen by only on person is both tragic and comforting. And that is Teen Daze's music exactly. With beautiful covers of Twin Sister and Local Natives in the bag, Teen Daze is killing it.
