New Super(?) Group Tinted Windows

Tinted Windows: Not Just a Feature For Your Car.

If you thought the economy was the only thing going nuts right now but wish more things just completely stopped making sense, boy are you in luck. For example, a new supergroup (maybe "super" is too strong) called Tinted Windows featuring Taylor Hanson (yes, from hanson), James Iha (yes, from the Smashing Pumpkins), Adam Schlesinger (yes, Fountains of Wayne) and 57 year old Bun E. Carlos (yes, from Cheap Trick) actually exists.

To reiterate, this is a real band. With music.

They are playing SXSW and in fact, they have a self titled album that will release on the 21st of April. There is a short interview with James Iha on the Blender Blog which mostly goes like this:

"Oh! And I almost forgot. We thought, now that we have a bizarre mix of people, we should get a really cool drummer."

A really cool drummer indeed. From what I have heard of the music its kind of like "Boy band meets 90s power pop in search of teenage anthems" or the Jonas Brothers for short. If thats a genre you've always known you never would have wanted to live without, there you go. You can hear their first single here, called "Kind of a Girl" which perhaps refers to Taylor Hanson (ooh c'mon im just kidding). In conclusion "mmmmm bop!"
